Superintendent

The on-site manager responsible for daily construction operations, crew coordination, schedule, safety, and quality control.

In the Field

The super is the most important person on a job site. They coordinate trades, manage inspections, enforce safety, and solve problems before they become delays. A bad super can sink a profitable project.

📐

Rule of Thumb

One superintendent can typically manage 15–25 workers across trades on a mid-size project. Larger or multi-shift projects need an assistant super or multiple supers.
