Safety Data Sheet (SDS)

A standardized document providing hazard, handling, storage, and emergency response information for chemical products used on job sites.

🏗️

In the Field

OSHA requires SDS binders on site for every hazardous chemical in use. Workers have the right to access them. Concrete, paint, solvents, adhesives, and fuels all have SDS. GCs must ensure trade contractors comply.

📐

Rule of Thumb

Keep SDS sheets in a clearly labeled binder in the job trailer. Digital copies are OSHA-acceptable — just ensure workers can access them without a password barrier.
