OSHA 10

A 10-hour OSHA-authorized training course covering construction safety fundamentals, hazard recognition, and workers' rights.

In the Field

Many public and commercial contracts require all workers to hold OSHA 10 cards before setting foot on site. Some states mandate it by law. The 30-hour version is expected for supervisors and foremen.

Rule of Thumb

OSHA 10 is the minimum — consider OSHA 30 for anyone with supervisory responsibility. Job site injuries cost far more than training.
