How It Works

Walls: Perimeter × height minus doors and windows.
Ceiling: Length × width (toggle on/off).
Sheets: Total area ÷ sheet size + 10% waste.
Compound: 1 bucket per 200 SF of drywall.
Screws: 1 lb box per 150 SF.

Field Tips

• Hang ceiling first — walls support ceiling edges.
• Use 5/8" Type X in garages and fire-rated assemblies.
• Stagger vertical seams — never align on same stud.
• Allow compound to dry fully between coats (24 hrs min).
• 3 coats of compound typical: tape, fill, finish.
